The anonymous artist Banksy gives Street Art a major source of artistic vitality by making provocative pieces for over twenty years.
Beginning graffiti art in 1990, the artist continues to make countless art pieces around his hometown of Bristol, UK. The rise of street art in the collective consciousness of the art community has been concurrent with the rise of fame of themselves. Consequently, they are often seen as a contributing force of the movement.
Still creating brilliant works to this day, Banksy has charmed millions worldwide with its ability to blend surrealist elements. Most importantly, his satirical political commentary always points towards an aspect of society that needs improvement. The artist continuously works to this day and shows absolutely no signs of stopping – nor of revealing the artist's identity.
